Al Lund with exhibition catalogue.

The Edmonton Journal has posted a video interview with Al Lund, the collector-donor and curator of the Mounties on the Cover exhibition currently on display at Bruce Peel Special Collections. Al Lund is a distinguished Staff Sargeant (retired) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Also interviewed is retired RCMP Deputy Commissioner Peter German, who wrote the foreword for the exhibition catalogue.

Parks Canada has been in touch to draw our attention to the current article in their This Week in History series, entitled "Nerves of Steele: An Officer of the Northwest Mounted Police." This article introduces readers to North West Mounted Police (NWMP) Superintendent Samuel (“Sam”) Benfield Steele, whose papers, housed in Bruce Peel Special Collections, represent one of the most important and valuable collections owned by University of Alberta Libraries.
